Gitjiggy is a web-based dance information portal/social networking site that allows dancers to socialize, communicate, self-promote and stay in touch with other friends and dancers from around the world. Gitjiggy members can view other member’s profiles, share photos and videos, post events and comments and stay up to date with the latest dance news. Gitjiggy cares deeply about online privacy, and this privacy policy describes the personal information we collect, why we collect it, and explains how it is used. By using the Gitjiggy website you agree to the collection and use of your personal information as described below. Information Collection and Used by Gitjiggy
Gitjiggy collects member submitted information such as name, email and password data to authenticate users, and to send notifications to those users relating to the Gitjiggy service. Gitjiggy also collects other profile data including but not limited to: personal interests, gender, age, dance style, experience and occupation in order to assist users in finding and communicating with each other. This information is not shared to anyone and is used by Gitjiggy so we can customize your experience and protect the security of your account. We may also use a user’s email address to send updates, a newsletter or news regarding the service. Users may choose not to receive email of this type by changing their "notification" setting to "Do not send me notification emails" in the user "Account Settings".

Gitjiggy may also log non-personally-identifiable information including IP address, profile information, referring/exit pages, date/time stamp, aggregate user data, and browser type, from users and visitors to the site. This data is used to manage the website, track usage and improve the website services. This non-personally-identifiable information may be shared with third-parties to provide more relevant services and advertisements to members. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes

Invitations and Other Communications to Non-members
Gitjiggy members can invite friends to join the service by sending invitation emails via our automated messaging system. Gitjiggy stores the email addresses that members provide so that the respondents may be added to the friend's list of the member sending the invitations. Gitjiggy does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides invitations, invitation reminders. Recipients of invitations from Gitjiggy may contact Gitjiggy to request the removal of their information from our database.

Who Should Use this Site
This Site is intended for all dancers regardless of age; however, w hen a child under age 13 attempts to register with Gitjiggy, we request that he or she have a parent or guardian create the account for them and to obtain parental permission. Gitjiggy does not ask a child under age 13 for more personal information, as a condition of participation, than is reasonably necessary to participate in a given activity or promotion.

Gitjiggy uses cookies to store user’s preferences and to record session information, to ensure that visitors are shown content based on browser type and user profile information. Correcting/Updating or Removing Information
Gitjiggy users may modify or remove any of their personal information at any time by logging into their account and accessing features such as Edit Member Profile and Member Details. If you would like your account removed completely from Gitjiggy.com, simply use the Contact Us link on the Gitjiggy website and send us a request.

Gitjiggy member accounts are secured by member-created passwords. Gitjiggy takes precautions to ensure that member account information is kept private. We use reasonable measures to protect member information that is stored within our database, and we restrict access to member information to those employees who need access to perform their job functions, such as our customer service personnel and technical staff.
